We - that's Timur and Nike!
A couple for 20 years, at odds when it comes to design issues for 20 years.
Luckily we always agreed on our travel destinations and that was Morocco for the first time in 2006...
Color lover and minimalist go on a trip together, both fall in love - with floor cushions!
The idea of LEY! wasn't born yet, but our passion for the great Moroccan kilims and Beni Ouarins from which our floor cushions are made has accompanied us ever since.
And now we are daring to take the next journey together: to turn our passion into a profession and to share our enthusiasm for our floor cushions, for the handcraft and the people behind them with you.

Timur studied economics and has wanted to start his own business since I met him. But then a great job offer came after university: as
Program manager in the automotive industry - and so he has been on the road for the last 11 years: Korea, USA, UK, China, Morocco, Czech Republic, Poland. He saw a lot and learned a lot, above all: that you have to be passionate about your cause. And so after my pregnancy came a year of parental leave and then the decision to quit - and finally start my own business! Life is a journey.
Nike studied political science, worked in development cooperation in Tanzania and is a yogi by heart & rebel with a cause.
She runs the label "THE DANISH GIRL INTERIOR" with two stores in Munich and will probably open a restaurant at some point.
As long as we discussed the name of our child, finding a name for our label went so quickly:
LEY! - these are the initials of our child, who accompanies the journey from the beginning.
